Every year the UKMS provides a number of Travel Bursaries to attend key myeloma and haematology meetings. These include the International Myeloma Workshop (IMS) and the American Society of Haematology (ASH).

The Bursaries joint with our Premium sponsors are of sufficient value to cover meeting registration and travel. Applications are open to all medical and scientific staff working in the field of Myeloma in the UK. This includes doctors in training, consultants, scientists, myeloma nurse specialists and myeloma pharmacy specialists.

We are grateful to the Michael Morley Trustees for providing continued support for the Travel Bursaries that enable healthcare professionals to attend key international Myeloma related meetings.

Every year the UKMS provides between 3-6 Travel Bursaries to attend key myeloma and haematology meetings. These include the International Myeloma Workshop (IMW) and the American Society of Haematology (ASH).

Pre Covid, the Bursaries joint with our Premium sponsors are of sufficient value to cover meeting registration, travel and basic accommodation.

Applications are competitive and will take the form of  an abstract submitted to the UKMS Exec. A call for applications will be made via an email to the membership  approximately 4 months before the meeting date and specific details of the process will be given.

All successful candidates will be expected to present either their abstract or a short overview of key points from the meeting at the next UKMS Spring Day or Autumn Day following the meeting.
